What a week!

At HS Regional meets, Zyler, Thomas, Harper, Emily, Andrew, Ava, Hadley, Drew and Bailey all became Region Champions for this year. In perspective, that means that in the whole state, those that train at Kaizen won 21% of all the Champions positions available, and we are really proud of those athletes and the work they have put in. Its also appropriate to recognize Gage, who not just PR’d for a runner-up position, but moved his PR from 11-6 to 13-0 at Region.

At Middle school State, we had 4 competitors: Kysaac equalled his PR, Thomas took 3rd place, and Tiggs and Kelsea cleared 8’ along with 2 other girls for the top height cleared in the competition, and then due to misses took 2nd and 4th. And finally, the following qualified for HS State: Drew, Gage, Ethan, Logan, Bailey, Lacy, Ainsley, Neilson, Shaelyn, Haiden, Erin, Andrew, Braden, Mark, Nathan, Ava, Hadley, Zyler, Thomas, Blake, Harper and Emily – and I sure hope I haven’t missed anyone on that list.

It is a distinct privelege to work with all the athletes we do at Kaizen, and while these kinds of performances make us happy, that is because it represents all the hard work, frustrations, failures and successes that everyone – on this list or not – puts in at the club.
